Styl10

Stitch Fix alternative

Stitch Fix, without the box.

Stitch Fix built a great business on a real problem: shopping is cognitively expensive and a curated box reduces decision load. But you pay for it — in styling fees, restocking friction, and waiting on shipping. Styl10 solves the same problem differently: try anything from anywhere, instantly.

Where the products differ

Curation vs visualization.

Both products attack the "I don't want to spend two hours shopping" problem. They make different tradeoffs.
Stitch Fix's tradeoff
A human stylist + delivery + free try-on at home + returns handled. You sacrifice control (you didn't pick the pieces), speed (boxes ship weekly), and price (styling fee + per-piece retail).
Styl10's tradeoff
You pick what to try on. Any retailer. See it on you instantly. No box, no return shipment, no styling fee. You sacrifice the discovery layer — Styl10 won't surprise you with pieces you didn't search for.
Best for which user
Stitch Fix: someone who wants a stylist's curation and trusts the surprise. Styl10: someone who knows roughly what they want but needs to see it on themselves before committing.

The cost math

A Stitch Fix box at $12 a month.

Stitch Fix charges a $20 styling fee per box (credited toward purchases). The typical box has 5 items at retail price, and most users keep 1-2. Styl10 Pro is $12/month for 100 try-ons. The math favors Styl10 if you shop more than ~2 boxes a year.

What you give up

The human stylist.

Styl10 has an AI stylist judge, not a human one. For most decisions this is a fair trade — the AI is faster and runs 24/7 — but for high-stakes occasions (wedding gown, big-investment piece), a human stylist is still the right answer. Use Stitch Fix or a dedicated personal-shopping service for those. Use Styl10 for the other 95% of decisions.

Questions people ask

Before you try it.

Does Styl10 send me physical clothes?
No. Styl10 renders a virtual try-on so you can see yourself in the piece before ordering. The actual purchase happens on the retailer's site (Nordstrom, Zara, Gap, etc.). No box, no shipping back.
Can Styl10 replace Stitch Fix entirely?
For most people, yes. The friction Stitch Fix solved was 'try clothes before committing' — Styl10 solves it earlier, at the visualization step. If you specifically want the discovery + curation layer, the two products are complements, not competitors.
What about other subscription-box services?
Trunk Club, ARMOIRE, Wantable — all variants of the Stitch Fix model with different curation flavors. Same tradeoff: curation + delivery + price vs. control + speed. Styl10's value prop is consistent against the whole category.
What does Styl10 cost?
Free tier with 3 try-ons. Pro is $12/month for 100 try-ons plus closet, daily outfit composer, and goes-with grid. Cancel anytime. No physical-shipping costs to worry about.
